Help for Kristen

More than a dozen bands from Seattle's tightly knit alternative-music community will perform two benefit shows for unconventional local singer-songwriter Kristen Barry, who is suffering from a debilitating illness.
The shows will be Tuesday and Wednesday nights at the Off Ramp, 109 Eastlake Ave. E. Performing the first night are Alice in Chains, Slam Suzanne, Bone Factory, War Babies, S.G.M., My Sister's Machine and Bam Bam. On the second night it's Capping Day, Medicine Show, First Thought, Mo-Lasses and Jangletown. Each show concludes with a jam session.
Doors open at 7 p.m. Admission is $5.
